![]() The tip out was insane and you even tipped the hostesses out?Īll employees BOH, management and host were afforded a $15 free meal every shift meanwhile the servers had to tip out out about 5.4% of dept sales and only get 50% off meals. Management sucked and I felt bad for them because they worked so hard and it’s such long hours.Īlso, servers are basically there to pay the entire staff. Our manager was beyond incompetent, BOH was a nightmare, nothing was ever correct and you have a chef who could care less about anything. They don’t do background checks, and it seemed like they just let anyone work there. I will say my team had their own struggles but really I question Snooze’s hiring policy. The Snooze that I worked at was fairly new and the staff was really energetic. This job was such a cult I can’t even explain it! In the beginning it’s all rainbows and butterflies but then once you get into the flow it’s a - show. When you first get hired, they’ll tell you all of these good things about the company to make you want to work there, but it really is a wolf in sheep’s clothing. They have no respect for your personal life and will threaten with write ups for calling out. Managers don’t really care about you as a person and care more about driving sales because they receive bonuses for their sales numbers. Management plays favorites fairly often and will treat certain people differently than others. It is a high energy, fast pace job and you have to be able to keep up even on your bad days. They’re severely over staffed with a high turnover rate and majority of the staff are underpaid. ![]() Majority of single people working there have 2 jobs to support themselves, so the compensation isn’t really worth the work. ![]() If you’re looking for a place to make potentially life long friends, Snooze is the place, however, if you’re looking for a place to make money, Snooze isn’t the place. The people in this establishment are very judgmental & The job itself is good but just be careful what you’re getting yourself into because the employees/management will ruin your experience. I hate to have to say this as well but while being a person of color every other person of color who has worked here in my time has been treated differently(only have sections in the back of the store, never rotated around the store, behavioral acts ,etc.) there has mutiple occasions where they end up painting them as lazy, crazy or anything else they can come up with(known from experience). Hours are dependent on if they like you or not, don’t let the smiles on their face fool you because they act like they’re cool in the beginning and then later when you’re not doing for them they bad talk you. They have friend groups that don’t like the other employees, the manager also goes along with them and talks about employees behind their back as well. So after working here (Snooze Town & Country Houston) for a year and being blind to all things going on for a while, I’ve came to realize that the people working in this establishment are the problem.
